This design team is renowned for our involvement in the design of high-end computer rooms and Data Centres. The specific demands of this client were met in relation to power and cooling within this project as was the Tier Stratification along with any required redundancy or fault tolerance built into the overall scheme with reference to the Uptime Institute. Meehan Associates compiled an extremely confident team to act on instruction by designing for free cooling & structured cooling as was required.
ORACLE BLOCK C
Location: EastPoint Business Park, Dublin 3
Size: 5,278 m sq
This building’s reincarnation, fundamental concept was the retention of the live data centre throughout the works. The building was stripped back the concrete structure to allow for the complete refurbishment, the re-construction composed of, two glazed atria, adaptable collaboration areas, meeting pods, phone boxes and cantilevered glass walkways. It is a showcase for sustainable refurbishment in which the design creates a calm, light filled working environment with vibrant, collaborative, break out spaces, all with a hint of yellow!
